One hundred years ago, St. Clair Avenue West was Torontos northern city limit. Not much more than a dirt road through farmland with few commercial or residential buildings. The first streetcar heralded the beginning of the neighbourhood’s development and the creation of a thriving and diverse community. This year, the WBCA is presenting a range of programming in celebration of the 100th anniversary of the St. Clair Streetcar and the Wychwood Carhouse. We hope that this project will become a source of pride and a tremendous resource for generations to come.
